here, from the graph we should know the equation, and it is clear that the line has positve slope and negative y-intercept. but how do i further choose between option b and c.
Here, you are only given a graph, so you have to assume it is drawn to scale as well, so out of B and C, if you plug in x=0 in both, you get y=4 and y =6, respectively. Also, if you look at the distance between the x intercept and the y intercept, they are the same, and so y intercept has to be the same, which only happens in C. The after way to look at this would be that this line seems to be in parallel to the y=x line, which has slope 1, and so the answer has to have slope 1 and intercept negative, so you get c.
i was also looking at the idea about line being parallel with the line y=x, but i think that would be quite an assumption. but your way to to compare x and y intercept, is really cool. thanks bud
