Didn’t quite follow this question and the solution given, unfortunately. Can someone help elucidate the same? Thank you!
question says → mixture of vinegar+oil=12grams
mixture is 40%vinegar
so, vinegar in mixture = 12*40/100=4.8grams
Now question says how much oil should be added to make mixture with only 25%vinegar.
so now lets says x grams of oil is added to mixture
therefore, 4.8/(12+x)=25/100
4.8*4=12+x
x=19.2-12
x=7.2
