GRE Mini Exams: 6 Question 5

I am confused about second blank in above question. As Scientists were “looking fondly”, implies that first blank should be Positive hence A. “When”(after 1990s) is previously referenced to 1990s, when " computers had yet to reveal" implies something Positive(Because Techies were looking fondly towards 1990s). No? Hence, should not second blank be positive too, implying towards F) Ubiquitous?.

According to Greg “Had yet” implies “Not”. Still I am confused why second blank should not be positive? Statistics also said that only 10% solved it correctly. May you look into if Majority marked Blank 2 positive?

If you were to even look at the answer choices, the other ones wouldn’t work anyways. Insidious means evil and decorous means polite. we know it has to be Ubiquitous

Yes @ben7777777 … But answer is not Ubiquitous… Perplexed by this question…
