I’ve started my GRE prep a few days back with the quant section and I’m a science student who has not touched math for years now. How do I prep for GRE? I just have 2 months for my test and I’m struggling with the quant section. I don’t feel confident with my quant and I’m searching for resources through which I can read and study the basic concepts of Quant. The GREGMAT videos are really awesome but they are really time consuming and don’t fit my time frame. Any book or any resources which can walkthrough the quant concepts within less time and any advices on the preparation and the resources as well as experiences would be really helpful.
Have you taken a practice test? What scores do you need and what is this for?
Yeah, I’ve taken the practice tests, my scores are varying. Th first time was a 292 (V 160 Q132) and the second was 301 (V 161 Q140). I intend to get as high as I can. The practice tests I’ve given were with no preparation. Applying for a chemistry MS which does not require GRE but can provide me with some scholarship.
The ETS math review does not cover all the topics of quant… and also I couldn’t wrap my head around it. So if there are any resources for a complete quant review and any prep tips it would be really helpful.
What scores would get you the scholarship you want? And to confirm, are these ETS tests you took?
Above 320 would be good. The 301 was an ETS test. The other one was a coaching center one.
ETS MATH REVIEW
hate to tell you but : NO PAIN NO GAIN
NO PAIN NO GAIN’s true. But are there any other resources that I can combine with ETS MATH review to cover all the quant concepts like for the foundation?
Have you looked at the Quant concept series? Recorded Classes - GregMat - GregMat
yes I did as I’ve mentioned, they are really good but can’t complete all of them due to my other classes.
Thank you.
