Thank you for your advice , let me break it down
1. A 1 point jump in math is pretty much in the margin of error.
Yes it is the margin of error but I have room of improvement of 4 marks.
I got 166 and could potentially get 170
2. Without knowing your situation
Let me tell you my exact situation
I studied for various competitive exams eg CAT, GMAT where maths are pretty much the same, and moreover
I am going through routine quant quizzes which proves my foundation are strong.
The careless mistake I am taking about (please correct me otherwise)
-
X^4 = 625 and in my mind I accidentally took x = 25 instead of 5
-
a number is rounded of to 3, I accidentally took max value of it as 3.4 not 3.4999999…
to do “sense” checks periodically within a question - That I tried but it used to take so much time but yeah time management should be improved in my case.
Really, its just about being mentally aware. - That is the method I want to know as how to be focussed all the time.
Have you watched greg’s essay video here?: https://youtu.be/KSL3XXrFfH4?si=wpDCAR01p6_YrwrL
For AWA, I am watching the 6 videos of AWA issue essay and watched 7 deadly sins of grammer.
In these videos I am actively practice homework and questions he gives in the class, then I will write maybe 2-3 essays on my own
and compare with the essay and use ChatGPT to grade and proof read.
Use ETS’ bank of essay topics here: https://www.ets.org/pdfs/gre/analytical-writing-pool.pdf
Yes using this
After that, maybe try to write out a couple full essays and compare. If you have the ETS general guide, read the essay section and really compare the examples they give of a 6, 5, etc.
That can be done.
Now I want to know about my study schedule along with above clarifications
- Is my difference in 166-170 all about mental focus or anyting else ?
- Will watching these videos writing 2-3 essays and grading with chatgpt and then reading the 5-6 point essay is sufficient for AWA (4.5) ?
