When the GRE talks about selecting from multiple objects, do I assume identicality? For instance, the following problem – “In how many ways 5 apples could be put in 3 boxes so that no box contains more than 2 apples” could have two different approaches depending on whether we treat those 5 apples identical or not.
If it does not give any further information about the apples (for eg rotten, green, etc) then they are to be treated identical
