English is always been secondary language in my school till 12th as i studied from state board in india. I am doing preparation from greg’s 2 months study plan. My verbal is weak and i am trying to improve vocab and do the SE TC problems but the thing that i get is disappointment and confusion that will i make it or not. i just want nearly 150 in verbal. My quant is little bit good so I’ll de my best there.
So any suggestions for improving verbal are appreciated .
The more disappointment you get, the more hard you push. Watch this video, it will motivate you I believe.
This dude isn’t a reader and notice how he delineates his practice test scores went down.
Also 2 month study plan would be a colossal task for you. Most people who are working and all take 3 months and mind you they are from Central boards. In your case you need to devote 4 months atleast.
GRE English is tough even for me and I am an ICSE grad…You can focus on vocab improvement and nail the SE questions. Diligently solve 30 questions everyday and read books (I would say any book). Start with fiction.
My dad is from State board, but he himself invests time in reading English books and newspaper everyday and I can guarantee you that his English is better than many average ICSE student. Hope this helps. If you don’t read, just 150 passages (OG, ETS Verbal and Big Book) won’t help you.
