The diameter is the longest chord - Shouldn’t that mean Angle ABC is always <= 90?
Try doing an experiment. Take a triangle that’s exactly 90 degrees at the top and then “flatten” it. By this, I mean reduce the height, what happens to the 90 degree angle at the top? Does it get bigger or smaller?
Thanks for the reply, @ganesh. I agree that makes sense. However, I was thinking on the lines that the angle opposite to a side increase and decrease based on the side length. So, if diameter is the longest, so max can only be 90 and as side decreases, so does the opposite angle. Am I missing something in my understanding here?
That’s right, but the other 2 sides also decrease significantly so the opposite side is actually bigger in proportion to the others
ah got it. Thanks!
