Hard level questions!

I took my second attempt late October and lost out on points due to missing out on level 4 and 5 questions on section 2 (154Q). I am in the process of practicing mixed sets via greg’s 500+ question bank. My accuracy on easy questions is 100% on medium is 90% and hard first attempt is 25% but when I reattempted the questions I got wrong I could increase it upto 63%. If my target is 160 on quant, do I need to practice hard quant questions or can I work with medium? I feel I lose all my confidence the moment I begin to attempt the hard ones.

I would focus on getting really good at doing the easy and medium questions, especially in multiple ways. I think the GregMat hard questions are (mostly!) harder than what you get from ETS.

Hi Ganesh, just curious to know the parts of I’m overwhelmed plan I should look into in case I scored 73% on Data Analysis part 3 GRE Quant Foundation Assessment Test (Data Analysis - Part 3)? Basically, looking for content around relative frequency and random variable.

PS: What should first attempt accuracy look like on the medium/easy’s as you suggested above? I’m at 80%. Though, reattempting I’m figuring my mistake and making it right without reviewing the solution based on which my accuracy is 100%.

Hi Ganesh, just in case you missed my comment below, I wanted to resurface it:

Do all of the data modules, doing the following for each part:

  1. Take the “Progress Quiz” on the right hand side first
  2. If you score <85%, then do the entire part again and take the quiz again
  3. If you score >= 85% just do the stuff on LHS for the questions you got wrong and re-do just those questions again

Essentially, you’re drilling down into subsets of topics to find your true strengths and weaknesses.

It’s not a useful metric really, it’s more about using the questions to practice applying your strategies. The % correct first time on those doesn’t really correlate imo.
