Please help me with guessing these blanks, I did the following–
1st blank – understanding
2nd blank – common (as in the previous line it says we are so familiar with these so I thought common would work here)
3rd blank – I really could not guess this one, I did not know what to put here so I went to the answer choices and for this there was an option somewhat hackneyed and BOOM, I said to myself only to find that I had been tricked.
Could someone tell me what is wrong in using common for the second blank.
If you carefully look at the sentence you will notice that its hinting towards what philosophy make you do to the things that are bank (iii) —> Here , we will use the word common or ordinary.
For blank (ii) , the question is hinting us that philosophy is making us think/ understand the things that are already close to us but escape our attention as they are familiar —> So, philosophy is awakening our interest in those things/shedding the light /opening our eyes . —> So , for blank ii I will choose interest
