exercise 5 part b:
isnt it 4% of 800 and not 5%?
do someone explain this
The 75th percentile is 126.
isn’t it 76th and not 75? explain in detail please
In the boxplot graph, the 75th percentile is denoted as 126 (you may want to review boxplots on the internet). This signifies the third quartile, and the upper end of the interquartile range. 76 is just outside that.
but 75th is 125 right, not the 126? and q3 is at 126th right which is 76th? am I getting confused or what
The 75th percentile is 126. See page 144 of the ETS Math Review:
Notice where they say that the third quartile is in the boxplot. That’s the 75th percentile.
Also: there are 5 numbers inclusively between 126 and 130.
Thanks I understood it now.
