I was going through the solve quant problem section from greg’s website and would be great if someone could help me with clarifications to below doubts
1 .Would the answer change if we exclude the line “The data includes no repeated values” ?
2. Can’t the x-1 in the numerator and denominator ( post factoring ) be cancelled out ?
3 . Can we assume the total numbers in the combined set will be 9 ?
consider Set(A) = {2,46,0 } adds up to 48 ( 16x3 )
and Set(B) = {2,43,45,41,46,47} adds up to 222 ( 16x12 + 30 )
But when we combine ( i assume union ), since we have repeating 2 and 46 in both sets, we have to consider them only once , hence the combined set will have only 7 numbers, and not 9 , as assumed while deriving the answer
