Help on this question

Hi Greg and community!

I was working on Quant Flashcards Group 9 quiz and fumbled on this question. However, Greg doesn’t cover this question in the solution video.

Can someone please explain to me how Quantity A is equal to Quantity B and how you reached to that conclusion?

Thank you!

To start off, identify the base and height for each triangle

Hi team! I can’t find a solution to this problem. I see how they have the same base but not how they have the same height. Can you please help?

How do we find the height of a triangle?

the height of triangle BCE is CD (imagine a dotted line from E drawn perpendicularly to the extended line BC). This is equal to CD. Base is BC. Hence area of both the triangles is same.

we don’t want to spoonfeed people the answer - not good for their work ethic / learning.
