Help with Powerprep verbal section

The third blank was easy to solve. The third sentence says that he was daring and the third blank should also indicate that he was daring. So, i reused the words " easygoing smile’. I got the second blank wrong because I didn’t know the vocabulary for it. I had guessed the word ’ daring’ for the second blank. But I couldn’t guess the first blank correctly. What is the evidence to choose uncharacteristically over naturally?

How is the hypothesis weakened if there is another reason for the lack of craters on the moon? The only reason I can think of is ‘if the craters are not obscured by water, then there is no water on surface and any impact would not disperse the water droplets to cause the ring formation’.

Besides the third point, I can not think of any evidence to support option number one and two. Can anyone point those out?

Thank you

For the first question I would look at the phrases “had always been” and “just now” to understand the first blank. Just now he is “not very sure” but he has always been “sure.” If he is not sure now how does that contrast with how he usually is? Is it out of the ordinary or not?

This would be a time contrast. So you need to think about how he is right now (unsure) and has always been (easygoing). What would be the opposite of ”had always been” in this context?

Hope this helps.
