At a certain university, 60% of the professors are women, and
70% of the professors are tenured. If 90% of the professors
are women, tenured, or both, then what percent of the men are tenured?
@prahladbajagain
let us assume total professors=100
then, woman=60 (given in qustion)
tenured professors=70 (given in qustion)
total (“women” + “tenured” + “womentenured”)=90 (given in qustion)
total=g1+g2-both i.e 90=60+70-both(womentenured) i.e b=40.
now make matrix like this
% of men tenured is tenuredmen / total men i.e 30/40=3/4 or 75%
