How accurate is PP1?

I just took PP1 ahead of my actual GRE coming up this Tuesday. I am shocked that I got 169V and 156Q to the point that I am doubting how much PP1 reflects the actual GRE (especially given that a few of the questions on PP1 were questions that we worked through on GregMat videos). Any insight?

I had the same thing lol. Got a significantly higher score in the verbal section

As in you got a higher score on PP1 than on the actual GRE? My score normally floats around the 160-162 range so I was highly suspicious of these results

PP verbal is pretty accurate so you must expect your verbal score to be around 165+ range given everything went normal in the test.

That would be exciting. I was getting 160-162 before I joined GregMat so if my score improved that much the credit goes to Greg

Yep, it was higher on the PP1
My score is generally in the 155V range(including powerprep plus tests), and I got a 164V in PP1!

But aren’t PowerPrep Plus tests a more accurate representation? Because I got 9 points lesser on average in the Verbal sections in PPP tests compared to PP tests

For Quants its pretty straight forward that PPP are a better estimation then PP.
But when it comes to verbal section I consider all the official test in the same plane. Maybe if we get a bit fastidious in our choosing then you can put PP1 in one group and rest of the official test in other but only due to the fact that people may have already seen a certain amount of PP1 questions unknowingly (some question are taken from ETS OG 2nd edition or you have encounter them on some website) other than that its definitively on par (in terms of verbal) with the other official tests ,at least, that how I felt about it when I took them.

I recently did the PP1 and got 153 V, 162 Quant after doing gregmat 1 month out of 2.
I had four common question in PP1 verbal because of using some sites. Even after that 153V!
Destroyed. I get usually 9 questions out of 14 in bigbook tests in terms of verbal. 6- 12 out of 60 quant ques wrong in every bigbook test.
