I was randomly scrolling through reddit and had a look at a random person’s reddit post. When I looked at his diagnostic report, he seemed to have got a bonus of about 5 points in the verbal? How common is this?
He stated that he scored a 157 in verbal 165 in quant. I used the (n x 1.48 + 130) formula to calculate the score. This formula was given by Greg in one of his introductory videos.
Can happen when the person is in the border (i.e, they could have gotten a medium as well). This happened to me in the older version of the test, except that it was a +6 bonus.
“They could have gotten a medium”? I don’t understand that
The person got a 8/12 in the first section. In some cases, this would have resulted in a medium second section (hence the borderline note).
If they got a medium, they might have well gotten their original score but with a few more correct to compensate for the lower difficulty in section 2.
