How good is my Quant Foundation?

Hello tutors @gregmat @Joan @Max

I am currently going through the I’m Overwhelmed plan for Quant and below is my performance on the progress and tickbox quizzes -

Context - I’m particularly worried about the ones in which I scored below 90%. Ideally, all of these should be at 100%, considering they’re simply testing the foundational concepts. But I also noticed a pattern about the ones I’m messing up - mostly True/False questions testing knowledge of the property itself. The ones where I need to solve, I’m able to do those well.

Questions:

  1. Is this a trend I should monitor more closely?
  2. If yes, when would be the right time to retake these tests?
  3. Also, should I retake anything that’s not a 100%?

Thank you!

Foundation looks solid to me. You don’t have to retake things to get that 100% but it can be helpful. We typically recommend scoring 85 or 90% or higher on these quizzes to show that your foundation is “solid.” It’s never going to be perfect. Also, a perfect foundation doesn’t lead to a perfect GRE score. It helps, but we also need to learn strategies and time management. So if you want to plug some of the holes you have, no problem, but I think it’s time you move on to strategies and untimed practice.
