1st multiple is 87 which is a
so there are 44 more multiples in the list between 85 and b
d = 3 (as multiple is 3)
substitute in equation
an = 87+43*3 = 216
the largest number possible must be 218 (as 219 will become 46th multiple)

No. There are 44 more multiples between 87 and b. As you said, the first multiple is 87.
This should be 44, not 43. You’re otherwise on the right track.
