So, this is a TC question from session 3 - season 3 of TC.
In my approach, I focused on the “The ability of other people ____” first to determine the general idea of the text.
The general idea is, ideas must be digestible.
As a leader, my ideas must be understandable. So the ability of other people to understand my ramblings is paramount.
The first blank is esoteric.
The second blank is understand.
This is the way that I would approach it:
First, we know that “:” is a supporting (+) statement that connects the sentence to the left with the sentence to the right. Using this, we know that the first blank = “any effective intellectual leader depends on the ability of other people”. Hence, we know that it should be “dependent”. However, there is a “not” right before the first blank so we know it should be “independent”.
Second, we know that since leaders depend on the ability of other people, they must “copy” thoughts that didn’t come from them.
idk, the structure of the question feels open ended. What is the logic for determining the idea because it can go both ways. What’s the silver bullet for answering this question?
