How to avoid silly mistakes?

Hello all,

I have been doing hell lot of calculation mistakes in quants. This is taking it’s toll on my score. It’s ranging anywhere between 167 to 156 which is quite frustrating. Adding to that I am unable to correct it and that leads to time waste on some questions.

In one particular mock I’ve spent 9 minutes on one single question due to a calculation mistake. I had to square √2t which becomes 2t^2. But all the time I wrote that as 2t

Unfortunately I was unable to catch this error even after the test. Even after the test, I was continuously doing it as 2t until I saw the solution. I have tried mindfulness and played some puzzles in lumosity etc but I don’t see any improvement.

If any of you have had this issue and had overcome successfully, please throw some light here. Tips are always welcome. Thanks in advance

in quant managing the time is important ! if u r uncertain how to solve then skip it… and note down the silly mistakes somewhere so that by solving the question again be aware of that
