Hello everyone, new subscriber here. I recently took a Manhattan diagnostic and scored 311 (157Q, 154V). My target is 325+. I have sufficient time to go through the 2-month plan but I wanted to ask how exactly do I start? Are there any prerequisites or should I just start with Week 1, Day 1 and then go on to finish it? Also, what’s the approximate daily commitment required (in hours)? Thanks
Go https://new.gregmat.com/course/gre-time-management and watch the first video - Getting started with Gre.
I think after that, you should start 2 month plan
Just start with Day 1, I do not believe any prerequisites are required for quant as Greg starts from the basics assuming that you know almost nothing. For verbal, it would be helpful if you know some GRE words and their context, but it is fine even if you don’t, you can learn words through the flashcards.
As of the time required per day, usually every day has at least 3-4 hours of video content and 1-2 hours of additional content. If you play on 2x speed, you can finish it faster. Solving additional exercises, learning new words can take more of your time.
Thanks!
Thanks, another question I have is how soon can I take the test after completing the 8 week plan?
That I cannot answer for you, it entirely depends on your confidence at that time.
There is a test that you are supposed to take after the end of 8 weeks (free power prep 2 test). It can be an approximate measurement of your preparation, so if you are satisfied with your Power Prep test 2 results you can give the test as soon as possible.
