Hi all,
I recently took the GRE a few days ago and my unofficial score was a 277. I know this is not a great score. I studied official GRE material but only did so for about 2 weeks. I have now scheduled to take the GRE again in about a month. I just wanted to ask for advice on if I should get to my goal score of a 300 following the one month plan?
Thank you in advance
Hey there -
It’s hard to say what you might need, but I think the first step is to reflect a bit on what you feel might have gone wrong on test day. Maybe it was an error in time management, or a particular section. If it’s a section - maybe it’s a concept that you forgot or hadn’t had as much practice.
Since you’re using this forum, I’m guessing you’re focusing on the one month plan. In that case - it’s just a matter of commitment. Dedicate yourself to studying in a way that works for you, practice where you need to, review with the walkthroughs. Make studying and preparing for the GRE your job (or part-time, I know how difficult it is especially in college). At the same time, make time for quality rest. Engage in activities during your free time that make you feel rejuvenated - if you like YouTube, watch content that inspires you.
Most of all - remind yourself that your unofficial score is just a setback, and that setbacks are temporary. This score may haunt you but it isn’t forever - have faith in yourself, believe that you have what it takes to change it. As long as you’re showing up with dedication, and putting in hard work - I’m sure you’ll do even better than a 300.
Hope this helps, and good luck!
