How to improve scores from 307 to close to 330

I took the test today, scoring a 307 overall (157 Quant, 150 Verbal). (I have background in humanities, so I did put all my efforts in quant)

I plan to rewrite the exam, but I’m not sure what specific steps I should take to push my score closer to 330. I study daily, but I’d really appreciate your advice on how best to focus my efforts.

Also, based on your experience, how soon do you think I should book my next test date?

I do about 4 study daily

First, I would work to assess your fundamentals. Take the following quizzes below to assess your Quant Foundations:

Arithmetic: https://forms.gle/1yNWtpatymwLQFDN7
Algebra: https://forms.gle/Jbe9Y3MysMZSkmR89
Coordinate Geometry: https://forms.gle/QX5NC8VzH41pema39

Data 1: http://forms.gle/8MGpxzFJRvwaxKGg7
Data 3: https://forms.gle/85PkubBzwZ3AFCNKA

For vocab, do the following to get a rough idea of what you know:

  1. Go to Vocab Check - GregMat
  2. Set the groups to all the groups you’ve learned
  3. Set the word count to 30
  4. Complete around 10 of these
  5. See what you score

You can also do a few Timed Verbal Sections on the GregMat website under Quizzes to assess your TC/SE/RC skills.

Once you have these data points, you can identify what areas you need to work on. If you need to improve your foundations, then feel free to utilize one of the GregMat plans. This pdf can be helpful for baseline Quant foundations: https://www.ets.org/pdfs/gre/gre-math-review.pdf.

Follow the plan, do the practice, and review what you don’t get right to learn from it.

I would start with that. If you have a strict deadline, then I would make sure to register before that. If not, see how much time the plan will take and budget a few extra days.

I hope that helps!
