Do you guys know if GRE Issue essay techniques would work for IELTS writing to get an 8?
P.S. I mostly posted this question because this category was left isolated ever since people have been using this forum. I feel for you idp.

GRE ISSUE AWA is more difficult than IELTS writing task 2 due to the following reasons :
Time : GRE is 30mins v/s IELTS is 40mins.
Word Limit : (500-600 for GRE v/s 250-300 for IELTS) .

Yep! The writing techniques will definitely work for a high score provided we follow the task instructions. Although there is no upper word limit, both tasks require focus, relevancy and selected ideas/information. If your essays are too long and contain unnecessary information, it may lower your score. Knowing how the essays are assessed might help you. The writing tasks are marked using 4 assessment criteria.
