I feel like this question should explicitly mention the “real” solutions because in other questions on the website, we find “real solutions” to be mentioned directly in the question.
In the GRE, complex solutions don’t exist so it doesn’t need to be stated right?

Yes true, I thought so too. But in other questions, we do find “real” to be directly stated. So, I also thought this might be a trap question playing on the specifics.
No, don’t worry about it. GRE will never ask you to think about complex solutions.
