(I'm Overwhelmed) Data Analysis Progress Quiz #10 Q3,11,12

But the order doesn’t matter here?

I just couldn’t understand the question at all

I don’t get why option 1 and 3 is such.

It doesn’t, so?

Try finding the probability when x = 2. And when x = 3. And so on.

Does Data Analysis Progress Quiz #10 (I'm Overwhelmed) Doubt (Spoiler) help?

For question 3 Here’s the answer
Sorry my bad.

About question 12 here ;
Why is the smallest possible value for P and Q = .1 when it should be .5 x .6=.3?

And Why do we talk the bigger circle here?

and this one how did you calculate it

And that’s right? The answer you’ve given in the screenshot is something else.

Multiplying the probabilities is just one option, and not only does that work only when the two events are independent (which you don’t know), that isn’t the minimum.

Share your approach, as usual.

@taseenjubair You can refer to this solution I did for Q1. Basically, at different values of sum which is denoted by x you have to calculate different probabilities but you will see as soon as you will come to getting a sum of 9. The combinations that you can create will drop for eg- to get a 9 as sum you have 4 options get a 3 on first dice and 6 on the second (3,6) or 6 on first and 3 on second (6,3) or 4 on first and 5 on second (4,5) or 5 on first and 4 on second (5,4)so f(9) = 1/61/6 + 1/61/6 + 1/61/6 + 1/61/6 = 4/36 and so on so you will see that for every value of x as you move towards 12 you have few ways to get that sum that is why f(x) first increases then decreases for eg for to get sum of 12 you only have one option (6,6).
