Here, can’t m be a decimal value since it doesn’t say in the question that it needs to be an integer?
It says containers, which cannot be cut or break until it is specifically mentioned. Same thing with humans, If a problem mentions n people, it is implied that people cannot be cut in half. Math is benign on that level.
