1<x<7 but not equal to. In the last sentence of the accompanying video greg even mentions this and the Q says to enter answer as an integer or decimal. Not looking to put a head on a spike just trying to understand the GRE maximally

Thanks for the quick reply! So to make it clear this would be 7 on the GRE? I was confused given that the Q box says to enter as an integer or decimal in the answer box.
Yes - the point is that 6.\overline{9} is exactly the same as 7 so you cannot simply enter 6.9999999…
