Hey everyone,
I recently started preparing for the GRE and took a diagnostic mock (without AWA) where I scored 280. I know that’s quite low, but I have about 1.5 months left to prepare and I’m determined to improve.
In Verbal, I did well in RC (most passage questions correct), but struggled with fill-in-the-blank questions. Quant has always been my weak area.
I’ve started the GregMat 2-month plan, but I’m finding it tough to keep up. I can only solve about 15 out of 35 questions on my own—though I do understand the rest after watching solutions and retrying. Even completing one full “Day 1” of the GregMat plan takes me more than a day.
If anyone’s been in a similar position and could help me on how to score 320 please do so
As a precursor to my response, let me say that GregMat is great for foundational understandings of the GRE’s topics, and I used it to achieve great success on my own test.
In your case, for Quant, I think that outside help for the further foundational topics could be of great assistance. If it allows, I strongly recommend Khan Academy for getting up the learning curve to the point where PrepSwift can be of even further assistance. You can find the lessons for topics you may not 100% understand, and it is entirely free. Please note that this is my $0.02, and I am not encouraging anyone to do anything that they do not completely opt to do so under their own accord.
I hope the best for you on your GRE journey, and hopefully this message helped in some capacity.
