Hello - I’ve been working through the 1 month plan, and am starting week 3. The foundation quizzes so far were optional (in some cases). For arithmetic, I received a 76% (I know it should be at least 80%) and for algebra today, I received a 46% - super low and sadly unexpected.
Clearly something has gone a bit wrong. I feel as though I’m going through the material too quickly without really having time to memorise and fully understand everything. What would GregMat recommend?
Should I pause my studying and revise algebra again, or keep going with the plan? I don’t want to get too behind. Also, should I retake these Foundation quizzes, or take the second ones after revising? Some idea of a gameplan here would be really helpful. Thank you!
EDIT: I took the Geometry quiz today and again had a super low score, around 50%. I’m not sure why this is happening as I get the GRE book questions correct, and the homework questions correct. Any help would be hugely appreciated.
I would do the overwhelmed plan in its entirety (all 12 modules) again honestly. This time make sure you’re always reviewing the quant flashcards daily
I did not take the data analysis quizzes yet as I knew I had to do some real work building my foundations in those; so I’ve gone through all of PrepSwift for the data analysis section and have been averaging 82% across the board on the Tickbox quizzes for that.
It seems I’m very close to going over 80% for most of these now. But I want a 165 ideally for Quant. Should I aim for 85-90% before moving onto strategy? I only have one week left, and don’t know whether it would make more sense to postpone my test?
@Leaderboard I did, yes. Basically, I went through the previous quizzes, and saw that there were really specific concepts that I was consistently getting wrong. When I worked on those and revised those concepts, I then took the Google Form quizzes for the first time and got the above scores.
OK that sounds like you might be able to continue, but the other option is to look at Quiz Data - GregMat and take a quiz or two under the “Quant Fundamentals” section if you want to be sure.
@Leaderboard Thanks so much. One last question if that’s OK. Should I be getting at least an 85% in all of my foundation quizzes before even thinking about moving onto strategy if I want a 165? I have less than a week left and haven’t done any strategy at all, and I’m wondering whether I should my test date forward or continue as I am, and do an attenuated PrepSwift revision starting tomorrow. Test is next Tuesday.
