LSAT for RC/CR

Hey @gregmat Merry Christmas !!

Sorry for pestering you on a holiday but one more doubt - What do you think about LSAT questions for RC in GRE and reasoning questions ? Is it advisable ? If Yes which questions should I solve - 600-700 level or 700+ level
(Well there is an Easy filter in gmatclub for sorting tough questions out)

Hi, the highest LSAT score is a 180. The ranges that you are mentioning here are probably applicable for the GMAT test.

Are LSAT RC/CR questions pertinent to the GRE test? Presumably, yes! However, you should complete the resources first: GRE Big Book, ETS Official GRE Verbal Practice Questions, ETS GRE official Guide, two FREE ETS powerprep tests. A lot of resources by ETS, damn! When you would be done with this, then perhaps you could start looking for the official LSAT RC questions, or maybe GMAT RC questions.

You may probably be thinking–more materials, better preparation. Unfortunately, no; grinding more materials doesn’t really dictate to a favorable outcome unless you’re not doing it a right way. So I would suggest you to focus on the process. In other words, you should calibrate or improve your process while solving questions from the aforementioned resources.

Plus, the LSAT RC questions are, in my opinion, differently structured than that of the GRE RC questions. And, same goes for the CR questions too. (I could give you examples, but I guess it would be better to keep this discussion short.)

So, long story short,

Gotta focus on the process, not the materials!
Gotta focus on function, not content!

Hey Thanks for the detailed response - Maybe I thought Easy questions from GMAT/LSAT could be helpful especially in CR since I saw questions basis were relatively same - Thanks I will keep a note of this @ehza

With the Big Book I say nah. The Big Book already gives us a ton of reading passages from ETS

@gregmat Gotcha - Will do so
