Dear forum,
Would like to know the general difficulty level of the Manhattan 5lb book compared to the actual test.
I am currently following the 2-month plan and have completed 3-4 chapters of the book and I usually get about 80-90% of the questions correct. Just want to make sure that I do not get ahead of myself and assume that just because I can do it right in the 5lb book, I can do the same with the actual exam.
i am going to give exam this week, so cant say about actual exam. but i have solved 5lb book and given both powerpep tests and it’s similar. there are subtle tricks in 5lb book questions just as u ould find in the real gre
Thanks! appreciate the reply
Good luck for your test!
Thanks, got 170 in quant today. Maths is similar to the 5lb, but first solve the official material. Always remember that there are tricks behind almost each question. There were some tricky questions which I had to comeback twice to solve. But overall good experience

Massive congratulations on the outstanding score! Thanks for taking the time and coming back to reply to this thread, really appreciate it.
Thank you and good luck to you.
What was your overall score? Also do we need to do the advanced quants too? If so how much do think it contributed in your 170 - Q?
336 total, 166 V, 170 Q. I wanted to do the advanced quant section for fun but I focused more on verbal since I knew Quant was fine for me. If you can solve the normal chapters without any errors that’s enough for a good score. ( I myself did silly mistakes while solving the 5lb chapters and didn’t receive perfect score, but on test day I was very focused and that’s a quality that you need to work on. Also I did nothing the day before my GRE, so that I was not stressed nor was I tired)

Yeah same. I actually didn’t have any trouble solving 5lb besides inequalities. Which math topic do u think was most prominent in the test? Also r u on discord?
