Manhattan 5lb Quant Chp 13 Q11 doubt

This is the Question:

This is the solution given:

My issue is that the solution assumes that 14 and 3 are the only factors of n. The question doesn’t explicitly state that n is only divisible by 14 and 3. So that should allow 12 to be a factor as well. Please let me know if I’m wrong.

Thanks in advance!

The question says which of the following “must” be true. In some cases, 12 can be a factor of n but not always. Consider 42, it is divisible by 14 and 3 but not by 12 so you cant choose option A. If the question said, which of the following statements “could” be true then you can choose option A as well.
