I have a question regarding Average , Weighted Average , Median and Mode. There was a question that said -
Three numbers have a range of 2 and median of 4.4.
Quantity A- The greatest of numbers
Quantity B- 5.4

How do I solve this?

Let’s call the numbers a,b,c (where a≤b≤c). Range is 2, so we have c-a=2. b is the median so b=4.4. Greatest is c which can be written as c=2+a. So to get the largest value of c, we need to get the largest value of a. But the catch is, since b is the median, a can only be as large as b. so the maximum a can be at a=4.4. Now calculate C
