Math doubt 2

Continuing the discussion from Math doubt:

how to solve this one?

Is the answer D by anychance

is c

I am not able to understand the question, that’s the problem.

if you want the solution, I can share it.

@prakithgre
Thanks for the solution.

It’s just I don’t feel convinced.

For example, u said we can take any value of x between 1 & 2.
If I take 1.5, then 1/.5 = 2 & 1.5+1 = 2.5. These 2 values are not equal. Here, I got confused.

Also, why are we not taking no. greater than 2 (is the first part of the question also a condition, which needs to be followed like the second part x>0 ? ) ??

  1. Btwn 1 and 2 the condition holds good and the only number that satisfies is √2 as proved but this is restricted btwn 1 and 2 only if it’s >2 the solution becomes (x-n) instead of (x-1) for example : (x-2) then the solution should be (x-2)(x+1)=1 and the solution becomes very close to the value actually value but not the same so as n increases u can notice that so the only solution I’m thinking should be n=1 and if it’s that C is the right answer
