So I was going the through the week 1 material and we use the math strategy on two things either on words or on ideas. But I wanted to know how do you identify whether we use it on words or ideas? Sometimes in the practice questions I have interchanged their usage and arrived at the wrong answer.
Honestly to me Idea seems more natural as the marker words are negating the idea and then i come to possibilities where that particular idea is being contrast by which word , because if i just focus on word at the start , I feel waste time and do not get the essence

Use it on ideas because the test has more that one contrasting word.
eg1
I hate pizza, its disgusting
Using math strategy on the words hate and disgusting works
HOWEVER
eg2
I hate pizza, its not healthy
Using math strategy on the words hate and healthy doesn’t work
This is why its important to look at the sentence paragraph.
