Math strategy

I feel a little confused with the math strategy. I understand the first step in the math strategy, which is to find the word that gives a positive or negative connotation to the sentence. Where I get confused is trying to find the next word to give a negative or positive. Is it the verb of the subject I am looking for?

It comes with practice. Focus on the strategies and try to rephrase the sentence in your own words, you’ll be able to find the words to focus on and will also get the gist if it’s positive or negative. If you’re having difficulty in focussing on whether a particular word is +ve or -ve, then that is a dearth of vocab my friend…You need to get yourself comfortable with the vocab. It’s a tedious process and there’s no short way around to it.

Also just stick with the process. If you do not understand any part of Greg’s videos, go over them again and you can always ask specific questions here. Ideally incorporating anything new from the traditional approach will take time…You need to practice and practice more.

However, do not solve questions because you have to. Solve them with a purpose and while checking laud yourself if your approach is on the line with Greg’s strategy…be your harshest critic and follow the end-to-end process…if it looks all over the place right now, I assure you, a couple of weeks later it will all fall in place. Good luck. Do your best and don’t wait for the results. They’ll come most likely. Also don’t move your focus from quant.

Lastly, its not always the verb, it incorporates adjectives as well…you have to be wary about it. It is question dependent.
