Need advice on where to start/how to leverage GregMat

Hi, I’m a couple months away from my next exam after having taken my first one a couple weeks ago. I need to improve my quant score 6-10 points; my verbal is fairly strong although I am continuing to study vocab in order to become more airtight. My error logs for previous exams and practice sets show that my quant score needs improvement in a multiple areas: time management, making careless errors/not reading carefully enough, and strengthening my understanding/agility in some content areas (namely integer properties, rate and other world problems, and some areas of probability and stats - standard deviation). I did the asynchronous Sherpa Prep course over 6 months and have been drilling the concepts and question types they teach since, as well as completing the exercises in the ETS Quant Review.

I only have 6 weeks until my next exam and realized very quickly I cannot finish GregMat’s 2-month study plan before the exam, nor am I sure doing so will best prepare me. I decided to switch to the 1-month plan, but got even less done of the plan each day since it is denser. Any advice on what GregMat resources would be most helpful to utilize or how I can create my own strategy using them is much appreciated! I am familiar with most of the content PrepSwift has covered so far but continue to have some ‘aha’ moments or learn new formulas here and there, which makes me hesitant to skip around without at least checking out every video.

Are certain PrepSwift lessons more critical than others? Which GregMat resources have questions closest the actual exam? Are the PrepSwift questions good enough to do timed practice with, or should I be focusing more on doing practice sets/exams and quizzes at this stage of my prep? I need to build my stamina and improve my time management skills under test-like conditions.

Any advice is much appreciated!

If I am being honest, I myself am struggling with this. I honestly feel like an idiot especially with the quant section. Best thing I can recommend is prepswift because at least it kind of explains concepts. Good luck to you.

Yes and no, and it depends on your score goal. For instance, if you’re targeting a (near)-170 score, you cannot skip anything. On the other hand, if you’re aiming for the 150s, it is considered acceptable to skip a few videos that you just cannot understand.

This is OK, as long as you are (i) taking the PrepSwift route and (ii) not unnecessarily duplicating your work by also watching the videos in the 1-month plan. Don’t skip the quant mountain/flashcards though.

The study plan should be enough here.
