Need advise regarding study plan

I am currently following the 2-month study plan along with my job. I managed to finish the first week in almost one month. I have scored 319 in the diagnostic test (Powerprep-1) with 168Q ans 151V.

I noticed my areas of concern in Verbal are vocab and using the Math strategy effectively in the TC questions. I have previously written GMAT and so CR and RC seemed fine to me.

(I had scored a 710 in the Classic Gmat with Q50 and V38)

My target score is anything above 330. Do you suggest me to stick to the 2-month plan or should I move to the 1-month plan? I wish to be done with my exam by April-May and then focus on applications. Please help me out here.

@gregmat can you please provide some guidance in this regard?

It’s not really about the 1-month plan or the 2-month plan. It’s more about how good are you at vocabulary? How good are your verbal strategies?

Both plans can develop those two things. It’s also possible for someone to go through either one of those plans and either forget what they’ve learned or never really absorb the information.

So think of it more as what you’re able to do, not necessarily what you should watch or go through.

Hi @gregmat, thanks for your insights
Personally, I feel the quant is becoming slightly repetitive for me.
I am good at memorization so if I were to study 30 words/day I am confident that I can do a good job and use Vocab mountain effectively to achieve my goals.
The problem I am facing currently is that I am taking almost 3 days to finish a day in the 2-month plan. So technically I am learning about 90 words in 3 weeks. With the 1-month plan even if I were to spend 3 days to finish 1 day of study, I would be doing close to 180 words in 3 weeks (this is just an approximation based on the Groups being taught in the two plans per week)

So my idea of switching to the 1-month plan is just to speed things up a bit. For verbal and quant strategies I am ok to review the materials several times.
Let me know how you think about this.

In that case, I would definitely switch.
