Hi everyone, I’m currently preparing for the GRE and am planning to take the exam around September. I previously prepared for the CAT in India for nearly two years, so transitioning to GRE Quant was relatively easier for me.
I have completed almost all the Quant concepts and around 90% of the available practice questions, but I am now slightly confused about what the next stage of my Quant preparation should be, whether I should move directly to timed sections, focus on mixed practice, revisit weak areas, or begin taking mocks.
For Verbal, I have completed most of the conceptual content and have been practising Reading Comprehension using the GRE Big Book. I feel reasonably comfortable with RC, especially shorter passages, but Text Completion and Sentence Equivalence are still significant weaknesses, mainly because my vocabulary is not yet strong enough.
I have also been practicing assumption, conclusion, strengthen, and weaken questions from the Big Book, although I am unsure how much importance I should give them for the current GRE format.
I have not started preparing for the Analytical Writing section yet.
At this stage, I would really appreciate guidance on how to structure and sequence my preparation from now until the exam, including when I should begin timed practice and full-length mocks, how I should improve TC and SE, what resources or sections on GregMat I should prioritize, and whether there are any important areas I may currently be neglecting. I would be grateful to hear from anyone in the community who has followed a similar preparation path.
