For question 5, what’s your evidence for A?

For B, when they say that goosebumps have acquired a new “role”, and their role is to “signal emotional responses”, then the author is assuming that this is something desirable. Otherwise it wouldn’t be a role.

For question 6, yeah there doesn’t seem to be an evidence for reasons

But I didn’t get the explanation of the book for why is B right.

How can a role be only for benefit. Can’t it be something negative too?

A “role” is a job with some objective you want to gain right? You would consider the objective to be beneficial I guess.
