Need help with this question from BB

  1. In certain forms of discourse such as the parable, the
central point of a message can be effectively communicated even though this point is not -------.
    (A) preferred (B) explicit © inferable
    (D) discerned (E) illustrated

why inferable is not correct

If the point isn’t inferable, how can it be effectively communicated? If the point of the message is effectively communicated that means that it is present but not directly stated. I think explicit should be correct.

In the sentence, they did mention that the central point of the message can be communicated effectively so this means that we can infer it from the parable. Even though creates a contrast. So look to the left side of the sentence. It hints at something positive. So the blank should be negative but then there’s a not so it should be a positive word. Now all the answer choices seem to be positive so I think we should use the grammar strategy to further break down the answer choices. I think explicit is the correct answer. Correct me if my logic is wrong.
