You can try to find values of x for which 2^x is greater than 224 and then find a pair of (x,y) which satisfies both the equations.
Alternatively, you can also try to take out some common power of 2 such that (x-y) occurs in the powers of equation 2 and help you to substitute this value from equation 1.
