Not getting how to solve this word problem

A cheese that costs c cents per ounce costs how many dollars per pound? (16 ounces = 1 pound and 100 cents = 1 dollar)

So our goal is dollar per pound and we’re starting with cents per ounce.

lets convert cent into dollars first —> we are given 100 C = 1 dollar hence, 1/100 dollar = 1 cent — Eq 1
now lets convert ounce to pound --> we are given 16 O = 1 Pound hence 1/16 = 1 ounce ---- Eq 2

Now , all that is left is to plug in these values :
dollar per pound = cent x 1/100 / 1/16 pound = 4c/25
