If only 8% got this correct then it is a horrible question …greg needs to make radical changes to the verbal test questions
It could also be a very hard question; just because people do poorly on a question doesn’t mean that it’s “bad” in any way. Of course, this one could be bad, for which I’m going to @gregmat
Well he said ets doesnt like a success rate of 20% or less on its questions and this is way less than that so obvio this is not a good question
I cannot comment on what Greg said, but what I can tell is that we’ve had (quant) questions with success rates as low as 4.8% that are completely valid. It’s just that one ended up being relatively difficult to solve.
math is a different thing, it has to have a solution. However in case of verbal if the % is this low then it clearly means that there is ambiguity either in the passage or the question or the options
Definitely. A success rate of 8% is too low for a question. I’ll think of making adjustments sometime in the near future. Until then, I wouldn’t read too much into the verbal questions on the site. They’re there more for fun.
