It is desirable to expand the yield of a harvest only when________________additions in time, exertion, and other variable factors of production are not also required .
Blank i
a) predestined
b) commensurate
c) analogous
d) deliberate
e) indeterminate
Now, we have lots of factors and the key idea is that we don’t want put efforts in each and every factor . So, we don’t work on each one of them equally.
Could someone please explain why indeterminate is wrong?
My logic - the sentence has the word “variable” factors are not also required. So I chose indeterminate as if a factor is variable then the factor will be indeterminable.
Also commensurate and analogous have similar meanings. And non where in the sentence could I find the evidence for commensurate as the sentence never talks about proportion or similarity, but I found the evidence for indeterminate in the word “variable”
