When she first came to France from Bulgaria, she was hardly the …student
she later made herself out to be, since she had access to considerable family
wealth
A naïve
B precocious
C impecunious
D ambitious
E assiduous
I got the correct answer however initially I was thinking complete opposite logic, and the synonyms of rich was not mentioned in the choices, (let alone anything on money except C) so that made me recheck my approach,
However @gregmat I was initially thinking like this , where did I falter, I am unable to be specific with my error as what exactly I did wrong here ,
When She come first (Initial Time)
She later made (Later time) SINCE giving the idea as She was rick
so Initially She was Poor so She hardly was rich…so blank will be synonyms or rich
I know I thought the opposite but how exactly I slipped here, it it some grammar mistake?? because since part is written HAD so that should be her initial state ? but can not it say the later idea this way , the way I thought in the beginning ?
I know this question would sound silly but I am asking because I could commit the same mistake unless I know what exactly I thought wrong.
