I cannot figure out how to solve the above two questions…
25> 24 miles per gallon in city =60% what it gives on highway
ie. 24/0.6=40miles/gallon on highway.
A. if 24 miles for 1gallon in city----then 30 miles=30/24====1.25
B. if 40 miles for 1 gallon on highway then 45miles/40====1.125. so A>B
- a> if x=-1/4 x2 will be x2 will be positive which is not correct x>x2.
b>same for b
c> if x is fraction less than 1 ie 0.25 x2 will be 0.0625 which satisfies x>x2 .So C
