Hi all. I have a few questions regarding the one-month study plan (since I literally only have a month until my GRE):
In the “What to do: Verbal” section, the Text Completion (TC) and Sentence Equivalence (SE) videos are class session recordings that are about an hour long. Given my time constraints, I don’t have the capacity to watch hour-long videos every day. Would it be okay to just watch the shorter videos in the PrepSwift Verbal section instead? I’m hoping they are perfect substitutes, though I do know I have to review the hour-long videos a bit for homework solutions.
I’ve just finished studying Algebra, but I have to admit, I wasn’t strictly adhering to the study plan earlier and was working at my own pace with the resources—sorry about that! For Quant, I’ve been doing the individual video exercises and tick-box quizzes in PrepSwift. However, I recently discovered that there are also flashcard quizzes and the 592 Quant problems for practice. While I understand their importance, I’m finding it overwhelming to cover all of these simultaneously. Could you suggest an efficient way to prioritize them in descending order of importance? Also, do the 592 Quant problems include content from PrepSwift quizzes, or are they entirely new, ETS-like questions?
I have a similar question for Verbal. I’m currently on Day 12 of Vocab Mountain, and so far, I’ve only been practicing the tests associated with each group. However, I’ve noticed there’s also the Vocab Quiz Hour, flashcard quizzes, etc. Could you kindly advise which one I should prioritize, or would it suffice to just focus on one of these?
They are not perfect substitutes as they don’t provide enough opportunity for practice, this is why we don’t include them in the study plan. But you can try and it and see how it goes of course.
Flashcards Quizzes (to check your foundation)
Easy Quant Problems
Medium Quant Problems
Hard Quant Problems
“Easy” is around GRE medium level, “Medium” is around GRE hard level. These are problem solving questions, that are different from the PrepSwift exercises.
However, you shouldn’t go with a “completionist” mindset for GRE prep.
Just finish the vocab mountain for now. Try not to get fixated on completing everything. Do what’s in the plan and complete that first
